John Raptis was born in Athens Greece on the 22nd of August 1969. He bought his first guitar at the age of 13 and two years later he started playing with rock and blues bands. He kept on playing rock and blues music till 1992 while at the same time he was learning sound engineering and recording his first compositions at his private project studio.
In 1994 he funded his own commercial studio "underground" were he works as a sound engineer and orchestrates and produces other people's music. After finishing his musical studies in 1997, aside from his studio work, John began teaching guitar.
In 1999 he formed a jazz-fusion band with Michael Evdemon on bass and Kostas Beveratos on the drums. After a few years of experimentation he recorded his first Jazz album "Trip" that was released in 2004 with Takis Paterelis on tenor sax, Ioanna Mitsoglou on drums, Michael Evdemon on bass and John on guitars.
In the summer of 2005 Michael Evdemon met Vasilis Kalistridis who became the band's new drummer. After experimenting with some musical ideas for a couple of months they worked on John's second album called "The Circle" released in January 2006 by "Soulincident". At present, the band is performing live in jazz clubs in Greece.
