Loch Nurse is a Hellenic alternative rock band. Alex Leventeris (bass, vocals, lyrics, music) and Konstantinos Kapsimallis (guitars, music), with drummer Akis Gavalas recorded their second album "Female Mind", that was released by Soulincident in September 2006. Leventeris and Kapsimallis with their former drummer Pavlos Balatsoukas had already released their first independent production "Level X - Wasteland" in 2005 - an art-rock orientated album - that was a good reason for Soulincident to come in contact with Loch Nurse and start "Female Mind"'s examination and treatment altogether.
"Female Mind" might be considered as a 30 years old mix of sounds, dressed and performed in a contemporary, fresh and personal outfit. An almost "Indie" kind of music, evidently written by musicians born in the 70's but first played in the 80's. Though today's Radio Charts were surely not the initial goal of the band's foundation and strategic, some "Female Mind" tracks could - not surprisingly - appear and remain on air in radio waves or live stages in 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007, 2017 ... but who can promise that life goes on ... Pink Floyd, Camel, Police, Talking Heads, David Bowie, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pavlov's Dog, Dire Straits, Rush, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Van Halen, Cure, Smiths, Muse and hundreds more. Let's say that Loch Nurse was to be added in the list above someday. Might this happen, these Athenian lads would urgently have to search for new arts, new places, new planets, brand new dreams to visualize and fantasize while sleeping ... But as they love to admit: "Mother Earth can hear the whispers of all her children who need to swim deep in her sky ..." |
