Peris Zygouris

Bio

Peris Zygouris was born in Athens in 1975. At a young age, with his brother George and a borrowed guitar, they began learning music.

The Hellenic rock scene - that was at its peak during the 90's - influenced him musically and gave him the inspiration to begin writing his first lyrics and songs. The next logical step was to start playing with rock bands at small live music venues.

In 1997, he joins the Athenian band "Galaria" as a singer. With the band, he played cover songs and some of his own compositions at bigger live music venues and at various Hellenic music festivals in Athens and other Hellenic cities. In 2005, more confident as a songwriter, he gathered and recorded his "Seven little stories" - seven of his favourite songs that were released as a CD EP album in September 2006 by "Soulincident".
